Your Excellencies,
Distinguished guests, esteemed colleagues, and friends,
Good Afternoon,
It is both an honor and a privilege to address you today at this significant gathering, held during the United Nations Summit of the Future. As Chairman of the Centre for Global Studies (CGS) and PAM Roving Ambassador for the GCC Region. I am proud to stand here alongside our esteemed partners, including the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), the UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED), and the Permanent Missions of both Morocco and Italy to the UN.
Today’s session, under the theme “Parliamentary Support in Re-Establishing Trust and Reputation in Multilateral Governance”, aligns perfectly with the strategic goals of the Summit of the Future. In a world where trust has become increasingly fragile, the importance of multilateral governance, transparency, and reputation cannot be overstated. As parliamentarians, policymakers, global leaders and diplomats, it is our collective duty to foster collaboration and cooperation on the most pressing global challenges of our time.
I would also like to take this moment to extend my heartfelt gratitude to my colleagues for their invaluable and fruitful participation. Your contributions have enriched today’s discussions, helping us to advance our shared goals.
CGS has long been committed to serving the International Community and advancing global trust and reputation standards. Through rigorous research and comprehensive frameworks, we aim to provide key insights to governments, national and regional parliaments, IGOs, NGOs, and the private sector, to ensure that trust is not only built but maintained. Trust and Reputation forms the foundation for peace, stability, and prosperity, and it is essential in the efforts of every nation to advance in a world rife with uncertainty.
Today, I am proud to announce the concept of the “Trust Path & Reputation Summit”. This Summit is intended to be more than just an event; it is a call to action—a commitment to building a better future rooted in integrity, transparency, and mutual respect, in line with the vision of the Pact for the Future. The Summit, in its first edition, focusing on Media, Politics, and Economy, will aim at serving as a critical platform for addressing in detail how these sectors influence trust and reputation in governance.
Through open dialogue and expert discussions, we will work towards strengthening communication between institutions and the communities they serve, ensuring that accurate and reliable information is always accessible. This will enable us to build stronger frameworks for trust and reputation, not only within governments and parliaments, but across every sector that influences the wellbeing of our societies.
As we navigate the complexities of the future, the Trust Path & Reputation Summit will also address global challenges such as economic stability, environmental sustainability, and technological advancement. We are committed to identify together solutions that support good governance and policies that foster transparency, accountability, and trust.
Before we end, I am pleased to invite you to watch a short video that captures the essence of the Trust Path & Reputation Summit and highlights the role we envision for this initiative in shaping a more transparent and trustworthy global future.
In conclusion, the Trust Path & Reputation Summit is not only a response to today’s challenges but also a forward-looking initiative. It offers a chance to rebuild and restore trust in institutions, organizations, and governments worldwide. Together, we can ensure that the world of tomorrow is more trustworthy, more transparent, and more resilient.
Thank you.
